Video: how to capture receipts using the app

Step by step guide

1. Download the app

Click the images below from a mobile device to download the app from the App Store or Google Play:

2. Log into the app

Use your existing credentials to log into the app.

3. Select 'Capture & upload a receipt'

Grant camera access to photograph your receipt.

4. Capture your receipt

Place your receipt under your camera to take a picture.

Text must be readable and all required information visible (date, merchant, amount).

Note: Alternatively, you can upload existing image from your photo library or a PDF downloaded on your device, by clicking the icons at the bottom of the screen.

Confirm the image is usable, and click 'Use this Receipt'. Alternatively, click 'Try Again' to take another picture or choose another file.

Your receipt will be scanned to automatically extract information. If the image is clear and readable, the app will successfully pre-fill your expense details.

5. Confirm expense details

Check the details we have automatically read from the receipt, and edit/complete as required.

Click 'Save'.

That's it! If this receipt relates to an existing card transaction, it will automatically be linked to the transaction in the platform.

If this is an out-of-pocket expense, open the web application (https://app.neo1.com), create a new expense, and select this image from the receipt library. The expense will automatically populate using this receipt's information.

Next Steps: Now that you have captured your receipt/invoice, you are ready to manually create out of pocket or company card transactions or submit company card transactions (from daily file feed).
