Purpose
You can find the Budget module on the left hand navigation menu. Here you will be able to review your current budgets and create new standard budgets, which are budgets created with the purpose of tracking spend. If you are looking to create a funding budget for virtual Cards, please see this guide.
Create New Budget
To create a new budget, select Budgets > then click the Create Budget icon in the top right corner.
Tip: If you have a virtual Card, you will note a pop-up after selecting Create Budget.
This is asking if the budget is specific to virtual Card funding.
To create a standard budget, please select No and Confirm.
Step 1: Complete the new budget request by including the following information:
- Name
- Members
- Merchant (optional)
- Purpose
- Order number (optional)
- End date
- Requested amount
- Default coding (optional)
Step 2: Then click Create.
Step 3: Once created, your budget will now display in Draft mode.
Step 4: Click Save and Submit to send this for approval.
Once submitted, the budget status will note the approval requirement until the approval has been granted.
Once approved, you will receive an emailed notification pertaining to this update.
